Community Forge is shaped by the amazing organizations and individuals who have found their home here. Many from residents offer unique programs and services ranging from afterschool theatre for youth to steelpan lessons to mobile blood testing. Barrels to Beethoven

Barrels to Beethoven is dedicated to preserving the steelpan through education and innovation. Our programs provide opportunities for the community, primarily young people, to learn about the steelpan, Caribbean culture, music theory, and performance skills.

Bob Ziller

Bob Ziller’s art has been in over 100 exhibitions, including, locally, at the Carnegie Museum of Art, the Andy Warhol Museum, and the Mattress Factory; he is presently represented by Borelli-Edwards Gallery.

Dalia Shevin

Dalia is a writer, printmaker, sign painter, and installation artist. Her work embraces both the playful and the profound, and seeks to support others in the creation of a more loving, courageous, creative and just world.

H. Gene Thompson is a non-binary artist who uses soft sculpture, print media, interactive sound and performance highlight unseen narratives, exploring themes of closeness, isolation, confining factors such as gender, social and economic oppression.

Latrice Phoenix is a healing artist who uses nude photography to build the conversation around racial, social and community issues. We also specialize in intimate sessions that help clients build self esteem and promote healing.
